"Snapshot of Zulu Time" is a static copy of Zulu time (GMT) taken as this page is loaded.  It will not change unless you clear the cache and reload the page.

The Local Time and Zulu Time running clocks are based on your computer's time.  If your computer's time is not accurate then these times will not be correct.  The Zulu Time running clock should be within minutes of the Zulu Time snapshot just after loading this page.  The Internet Time is based on your computer's TOD clock and if this clock is not accurate then the Internet Time will not be correct.

To ensure your computer clock is accurate go to NetTime and download the NetTime software, it is small, simple and unobtrusive.  NetTime is a simple time synchronization client for Windows.

Internet Time was instituted on October 23, 1998 by Swatch, the watch company, and Nicholas Negroponte of MIT Media Laboratory.  Internet Time divides the world into 1,000 time zones or beats.  The beats begin at Biel Switzerland, the home of Swatch  ( I wonder why? ).  We currently look at 24 time zones or hours which begin at Greenwich England (GMT).  The other significant difference in Internet Time is the "time of day in beats" is the same all over the world.  So, if you want to set up a chat, you set the time, say 3:00 PM (15:00 hours) or @666.667 Internet Time and everyone shows up regardless of their location on the planet -- because the time is the same everywhere.

To relate hours and beats we take them down to a common point, seconds.  A day is 86,400 seconds with 3600 seconds per hour and 86.4 seconds per beat.  Using Biel as the starting point you can calculate current beats from the time in your time zone or from GMT (Zulu).  The problems with building beats on the basis of hours is the coarseness of hours compared to beats.  Depending on your physical position within your own time zone your calculation can be 0 to 41 beats out.  This results from the fact that there are 41.667 beats in each hour and your position can be at the leading edge or trailing edge of your 1 hour time zone.

Do we manage time, not likely.   Time cannot be managed.   Time flows at the same constant rate, day after day, year after year.  If you could time travel or move at warp speeds, then maybe you could manage time.  But, under normal conditions, you can't.

You must manage yourself and your actions to make efficient use of "time".

Successful people apply self-control or discipline in order to achieve their goals.   The very act of setting goals and a "timetable" to reach those goals is part of that discipline.

It's been said "There are no unreasonable goals, just unreasonable "time frames".   To be a millionaire is not an unreasonable goal, but to achieve it next week or even next year is probably an unreasonable "time frame".

Time was moving along when you were born and it will be doing exactly the same thing when you die.  What you do in between is up to you.  If you have a good beginning it's relatively easy, if not, it's hard, but, it's still up to you.
